Samsung Brings First Curved TV to Nigerian Consumers

Samsung Electronics West Africa has at a launch organized to unveil its new range of Ultra High Definition televisions introduced the world’s first Curved SUHD TV to Nigerian consumers.
To this end, Nigerian consumers now have the opportunity to purchase the new SUHD TV which marks a monumental leap into the future of television viewing, setting a new standard in premium UHD content and elevating consumers’ viewing experience to new levels.
At the unveiling of the TV, Managing Director at Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Brovo Kim, said that the TV gives a new meaning to TV experience and consumers, providing users with easy access to desired content, an integrated entertainment experience and more choices than ever before.
Kim reiterated that the new SUHD TV highlight the most refined television experience ever, with the adoption of the latest technology that users should expect from Samsung’s smart TVs.
“The SUHD TV celebrates a major milestone in the UHD era, delivering superior picture quality with stunning contrast and striking brightness. Included in the product is the SUHD re-mastering engine which automatically analyses the brightness of images to minimize additional power consumption, whilst expressing excellent contrast levels. Images have much darker blacks and an elevated brightness two-and-a-half times brighter than conventional TVs, with twice the color adjustment points” he added.

Exploring the High Tech Wearable Future for Africa

From July 20-23, 2015, Africa and indeed the whole world will converge at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria’s political capital, for the 2015 edition of the Digital Africa Conference & Exhibition, and the third in a series, following two previous successful editions in 2013 and 2014.

Bracelets, necklaces and garments that fuse utility with fashion, function with form, can make the daily life of Africans healthier, safer and keep them in better contact. They’ll enable everything from commerce to managing chronic illnesses. And they’ll revolutionize the fashion industry with clothing that interacts with the environment. The Wearables industry is still in its infancy, but the market is expected to skyrocket to $19 billion by 2018.
